Reforesting the future: our commitment to the mountains
Starting in 2025, at Eco-Baita Natura Spensierata, we decided to dedicate part of our revenue to supporting reforestation in the mountains of Trentino. Thanks to our collaboration with WOW NATURE, we will help plant new trees to restore forests damaged by devastating events such as Storm Vaia and bark beetle infestation.
Our reforestation project
We decided to take concrete action for our land, which has been severely affected in recent years by two disastrous events: Storm Vaia and the bark beetle infestation.
From an idea we had in December 2023, an ambitious project was launched in collaboration with the Municipality of Canal San Bovo and WOW Nature – Etifor.
We will allocate part of our earnings to planting new trees, because we believe that every small gesture can make a difference.
We are working side by side with the Municipality of Canal San Bovo and WOW Nature on an ambitious project: to reforest some of the forests destroyed by the bark beetle, contributing directly to the rebirth of our territory.
The project plans to begin planting the first trees starting in 2026. Some of the most beautiful spruce forests in our valley have been completely destroyed and killed by the bark beetle. In 2025, the dead trees will be cut down and, starting from 2026, young saplings will be replanted in their place. Thanks to this project, new biodiversity will be created and a new forest will grow for future generations.
We will personally go and plant some of the trees, because we want to be there, with our hands in the soil, giving back to nature what it has lost.
Every year, we will remain committed to supporting this project. You too, as our guest or friend, can take part by adopting or gifting a tree here at the property or directly through the WOW Nature website.

Why is reforestation so important?
In recent years, the forests of our beloved mountains have suffered serious damage.
Storm Vaia, in October 2018, brought down millions of trees in just a few hours, leaving deep scars across the Alpine landscape.
The bark beetle infestation, caused by a small wood-parasitic beetle, is making the situation even worse, destroying entire stretches of spruce forest weakened by the storm.

Forests are much more than just a corner of unspoiled nature. They are green lungs that allow us to breathe, ecosystems that protect life on Earth. Restoring these trees is not only an act of beauty, but a true gesture of hope for our future.

December 2023:
We decided to present our ambitious project to the Mayor of Canal San Bovo.
February 2024:
First meeting with the Mayor regarding the Vanoi reforestation project.
November 2024:
We met with the Mayor and the forestry officer to assess the feasibility of the project.
November 2024:
We decided to contact WOW Nature – Etifor to ask for support for the project.
December 2024:
We met with the local administration, the forestry manager, and WOW Nature – Etifor to define the first steps of the project.
February 2025:
The municipal council approved the project.
March 2025:
We began searching for additional sponsors to help finance our ambitious project (and you too can become one of these sponsors!).
