When we left the city to embrace life in the mountains, the garden was one of our very first projects. We wanted to nourish our guests — and ourselves — with the authentic flavors of the Vanoi Valley. Seeing the first shoots emerge was an indescribable emotion, and that joy returns every time we pick juicy raspberries, rich blueberries, and tart currants that enrich our cakes and jams, filling the mountain chalet with their fragrance.

This chalet is filled with objects that tell our story, our journey from the city to the mountains. Hanging at the entrance, Linda’s father’s mountain gear is a family memory with a truly fascinating story that we invite you to discover during your stay. The handwoven baskets speak of artisanal knowledge passed down through generations. Every object here has a soul and carries with it the value of simplicity and work done with care.

In the chalet garden, a stone fountain-washhouse tells stories of work and simple mountain life. The fountain was rebuilt after the flood of 1966. This authentic detail is a link to the past of Vanoi, a meeting place for many women from the Faori Valley (the name of the area where our chalet stands). This fountain is part of the Water Ring trail, a path that explores places connected to the history of water in the Vanoi Valley. An invitation to discover the land through nature and memory.
