Who we are

Hello! We are Linda and Matteo. Welcome to “Natura Spensierata,” our home nestled in the wonderful Vanoi Valley. In 2019, we made a life-changing decision: to leave the hustle and bustle of our hometown, Padua, and follow a dream of authenticity and nature among the Lagorai mountains and the Trentino Dolomites that had stolen our hearts.

We were looking for a slower pace, a more genuine connection with the land, and a life in harmony with the seasons. That desire led us here, to the Vanoi Valley, where we found the perfect place to bring Natura Spensierata to life, our sustainable rural hospitality project born from the wish to share this transformation with those seeking a refuge for the soul.

Leaving behind concrete and traffic, we embraced the silence of the woods and the wild beauty of this corner of paradise. Joining us on this adventure are our little Anna and sweet Olivia, ready to welcome you not simply as guests, but as friends who share our same love for nature and simplicity. We look forward to telling you our story and letting you experience the magic of Vanoi.

The cornerstone of daily life in our home, a man of many talents and remarkable practical skills. I have always loved the mountains, perhaps also thanks to my Austrian roots! My passion for the highlands also led Linda to appreciate these places, creating a special bond between us and nature.

I will be your point of reference for all outdoor experiences. Over the years, I have explored countless trails in our valley, whether with hiking boots on my feet or while enjoying activities such as snowshoeing, trail running, mountain biking, and, why not, a bit of cross-country skiing. If you need advice on hikes, breathtaking trails, or summer and winter outdoor activities, I will be happy to help you choose.

For me, mountain life is synonymous with ancient flavors, which is why I devote myself passionately to traditional Trentino cuisine. If you want to taste the true essence of this valley, I can point you toward the local products that best represent our land, the ones that will make you feel part of our community.

A woman and mother with countless passions and interests, I have never stopped marveling at the little things nature gives us and wanting to learn something new.

My great love for pastry began at an early age. For me, baking cakes has always been a form of communication, my special way of expressing what words cannot say. It is a loving gesture that you will taste every morning here with us and that will bring a smile to your face.

I love following the rhythm of the seasons, gathering fruits, herbs, and flowers to create recipes that celebrate the gifts of the earth. Plant-based cuisine fascinates me because it allows you to savor the authentic taste of nature.
I have a holistic soul, and I find my inner peace in the woods that surround us, losing myself for hours admiring the little things. If you feel the need to find your center again and experience a deep connection with nature, I will invite you to share with me my favorite places, where time seems to stand still and peace reigns supreme.

Here, at Natura Spensierata, I invite you to experience with me one of the many activities I organize, each one bringing together my passions: ancient local crafts, nature and its gifts, holistic disciplines, mountain rural life, and all the other experiences that, over time, will come to warm my heart.

I am the little one of the house, a pure soul who holds within herself the very best of mum and dad.

I love spending my time climbing every rock and branch and living a thousand adventures through meadows and woods. I cannot resist a dip in the crystal-clear waters of streams and brooks, not even when they are icy! On every walk, I carry my little hazel basket, handmade by Adriano (our neighbor and honorary “grandfather”), so I do not miss any treasure I collect.

My favorite moment is when I can be close to the animals that often graze in the meadows around our home, and I really hope that mum and dad will soon decide to create a little farm here with us too!
